There is a fancy dress competition and prizes on the night for the best costumes. Tickets are on sale at the school gate all week.
All monies raised goes towards supporting the pupils and school. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Our 4th annual sponsored walk will take place after the mid-term break (November 6th-10th). All children now have sponsorship cards and extra cards can be obtained from Mr Tyndall's room.
The deadline for return of sponsorship cards is Friday 10th of November. We urge everyone to support this event and raise vital funds towards the improvement of our school.
The money raised from the walk will go towards purchasing furniture and resources for the new building.
In response to the imminent Storm Ophelia, the Department of Education is now informing all schools, colleges and other education institutions that they are to remain closed on Monday 16th October.
The decision has been made following discussions with members of the Government Task Force on Emergency Planning and in light of the advice from Met Eireann on this unprecedented storm.
*The Department of Education has closed all schools on Tuesday 17th of October 2017 due to Storm Ophelia.
The school will be closed this coming Tuesday 17th of October 2017 for health and safety reasons. The building work has now reached the stage of the roof trusses being installed. This will involve a crane lifting the trusses over the existing buildings and walkways. This work will take place for the entire day and is weather dependent.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but it is unavoidable in this instance. It is not anticipated that we will need to close again to facilitate works.
We thank you all for your patience and understanding while the works continue to improve our school.

On Wednesday 4th of October the Ladies All-Ireland Trophy was brought in to the school by Lyndsey Davey and Sinead O'Mahony. Sinead of course is a past pupil of Scoil Moibhi. The two players were fantastic ambassadors and took time to get photos with everyone and sign autographs.
Thanks to Lyndsey, Sinead and Johnny Beggs and all at Skerries Harps for organising the visit.
This year the pupils in Mr McGuinness' and Mr Tyndall's classes will be taking part in the Fingal Schools Athletics League. There are 5 races in total in the league between now and April. The league begins this Thursday 5th of October with a race in Newbridge House. This race was deferred from last week due to the inclement weather.
This is a fun laser run in conjunction with the Modern Pentathlon and will see the pupils get an opportunity to shoot laser guns at electronic targets at the halfway point in their race.
We will be travelling by bus to and from the event. 48 children in total will be taking part in this fun event. The cost of the bus is 2 Euro.
