On Saturday 24th of August the ‘Joe Clinton Library’ was opened in honour of a community treasure. Joe contributed so much to the school and community during his lifetime. He was a past pupil, parent, grandparent, Chairperson of the Board of Management and a Local Historian.
We were delighted to be joined by his wife Mary, their daughter Sarah and their sons Mark, Joseph and Luke. Their grandchildren and Joe’s brother Seamus. Also some of his many friends.
The opening of of the library in his name is very fitting as Joe had a lifelong love of learning. He was a frequent visitor to the school to talk about Local History.
His wife Mary Clinton and Principal Johnny Tyndall opened the library. Refreshments were served afterwards.
The Board of Management is delighted to confirm that Mrs Maria Lynam is the new Principal of Scoil Moibhi Milverton. A native of Cork, Mrs Lynam has taught for the past ten years in St. Patrick's Junior School in Skerries. She is no stranger to Milverton and has taught in the school in the past.
We know the school community will join us in wishing her all the very best as she starts her new role.
