Dear parents/guardians,
The school will reopen tomorrow, Monday, as normal. As there is still a 'status orange' warning in effect until 12pm tomorrow, parents are advised to be cautious on the road to the school. There is still snow lying at the sides of the road on approach.
Kind regards
Johnny Tyndall
Principal
The Department of Education has made the following statement in relation to schools reopening on Monday. ( a decision will be made on Sunday afternoon/evening in relation to Scoil Moibhi)
'Where possible schools, colleges of further education and third level institutions will re-open on Monday. However, decisions will be made by schools on an individual basis depending on the circumstances and conditions in their area.'
'As always, schools must ensure the safety of those in their care and give due consideration to this when making a decision to re-open.'
'The Minister for Education and Skills would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank all those principals, teachers, students and parents who co-operated fully with the safety measures in place over the past days.'
