  • School closed Mon & Tues

    The school is closed this Monday 19th March -for the Bank Holiday- and Tuesday 20th March for Child Protection training for the teachers.
  • Confirmation 2018

    Best wishes from the Board of Management, staff and pupils of Scoil Moibhi to those making their Confirmation or receiving a blessing on Thursday 15th March. The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. and the celebrant is Bishop Ray Field. 

     

    All candidates should be in their allocated places by 10:40 a.m. Candidates should collect mass booklets and Confirmation cards from Mr. Tyndall at the front porch when they arrive at the church.

  • Book Fair Raises €1200

    Well done to everyone who supported our Book Fair 2018. We have raised a fantastic €1200 this year. The school gets to keep a percentage of this in the form of books which will go into the library.
  • Do This In Memory Mass This Weekend

    The children in Second Class making their First Communion have a 'Do This In Memory' mass this Sunday at the 11am family mass.
  • Prayer Service of Light

    The Prayer Service of Light for the Confirmation candidates in sixth class is on Monday 12th March. It starts at 7:30pm in St. Patrick's Church. All candidates should bring their Baptismal candle  with them and their booklets for the service.
  • Senior Gaelic match Thurs.

    The Senior Gaelic team have a match this Thursday away against Balbriggan ETNS in Bremore Astro . Throw in time is 1pm. 
  • Fingal Athletics cancelled for Thurs.

    The Fingal Schools Athletics league was due to take place on Thursday, 8th March in Newbridge Demesne. Mr McGuinness' 3rd & 4th class and Mr Tyndall's 5th & 6th class were going to be taking part. This event has now been cancelled until next week Thursday 15th March.
  • School reopens tomorrow: Monday

    Dear parents/guardians,

    The school will reopen tomorrow, Monday, as normal. As there is still a 'status orange' warning in effect until 12pm tomorrow, parents are advised to be cautious on the road to the school. There is still snow lying at the sides of the road on approach.

  • Statement from Dept of Education

    The Department of Education has made the following statement in relation to schools reopening on Monday. ( a decision will be made on Sunday afternoon/evening in relation to Scoil Moibhi)

     

    'Where possible schools, colleges of further education and third level institutions will re-open on Monday. However, decisions will be made by schools on an individual basis depending on the circumstances and conditions in their area.'

     

    'As always, schools must ensure the safety of those in their care and give due consideration to this when making a decision to re-open.'

     

    'The Minister for Education and Skills would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank all those principals, teachers, students and parents who co-operated fully with the safety measures in place over the past days.'
