Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The Board of Management is closing the school on Thursday -as previously announced- and now on Friday. This follows the following statement from the Department of Education:
'Given the disruption to transport and the safety risks arising, most particularly in relation to the ability to get home safely before blizzard like conditions hit Munster and Leinster, all schools, third level institutions, colleges and centres of further education in red areas will be closed tomorrow and Friday.'
The Board of Management have taken the decision to close the school today Wednesday 28th February and tomorrow Thursday 1st March. This is due to the red weather warning issued by Met Eireann which came into effect at 5am this morning -Wednesday- and is in place until 12pm tomorrow - Thursday-. Updates will follow for Friday.
Please check the website as your first point of contact as the text-a-parent service is slower than usual due to the volume of schools utilising it.
Dear parents & guardians,
As you are aware a 'Status Orange' warning comes into effect from 3 pm today until 11 am tomorrow. The school (at this juncture) intends to be open as normal. However, parents are advised to make their own decision in relation to their child's attendance based on individual circumstances. Any change in the situation will be notified by text/published on the school website.
Kind regards
Johnny Tyndall
Principal
