With the implementation of the Education Welfare Act we are obliged to inform the National Education Welfare Board of any child whose absences exceed 20 days in any one school year.
1. All absences of children should be accounted for in email to the school office: office@milvertonns.ie, or, in the pupil's homework journal. In the case of Junior & Senior Infants a note on return to school.
2. The date and reason for absence together with the signature of a parent must be in/on the journal or note.
3. Any absence not explained is recorded as an unexplained absence.
