In 2016 the school in conjunction with Realt na Mara painted a mural on the theme of climate change/climate justice. This is on permanent display at SuperValu in Skerries. There is a documentary on our website about this on the Global Citizenship page.
This year all of the children in the school will paint a mural on-site. The mural painting will be facilitated by artist Eimear McNally and the Trocaire Development Education team.
This will start with a Development Education workshop with Lydia McCarthy of Trocaire with 5th & 6th class on Friday 4th May.
We had two cricket fixtures this week:
Fingal Girls Cup
Milverton played Balrothery on Tuesday 24th of April. The fixture was due to be played in the Vineyard at the Hill CC but had to be switched due to the weather. Thanks to Balrothery the game was moved indoors to North County. In a very entertaining game, Captain Emily O'Sullivan and her teammates played very well. On the day Balrothery were the better team and won the game. Well done to all who played in a very sporting game.
Cricket Super League
The Boy's cricket team kicked off their season in great style on Wednesday 25th of April. The fixture was played at North County CC and like the girl's team our opponents were Balrothery NS. The match proved to be very one sided with Milverton scoring 109-1 and Balrothery scored 6 all out. Milverton won by 103 runs. Well done to everyone on a very sporting game.
Best of luck and have fun to all those taking part.
Best wishes from the Board of Management, staff and pupils of Scoil Moibhi to those making their Confirmation or receiving a blessing on Thursday 15th March. The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. and the celebrant is Bishop Ray Field.
