We are delighted to have the following information for Confirmation & Communion Classes of 2022

Confirmation Class of 2022

Scoil Moibhi Milverton National School

Date of Confirmation Wednesday 4th May 2022 @ 12 noon

Please see the attached letter below from Fr Melvyn.

Dear Parents/Guardians, Boys & Girls,

1. Enrolment: An Enrolment Form is available on the parish website www.stpatricksskerries.ie

Please complete it as soon as possible and return by email to the parish office along with a    copy/photo of your child's Baptism Certificate.

2. Preparation: The core preparation is found in the Grow in Love programme that your child follows in school. Part of the lessons in the Grow in Love programme invites parents to engage with your child and this will help to consolidate/support the preparation of your child to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation.  Attendance at Mass will also help and provides opportunity for practice, conversation and explanation with your child.

3. Celebration: The celebration of the Service of Light will take place via webcam on Wednesday 9th March 2022 @ 7.30pm. I hope to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on a class by class basis during the months of April/May in the parish church on the dates attached. In order to protect all concerned, as we did last year, some restrictions will apply. I ask that each child be accompanied by only 4 others for our celebrations. A seat will be assigned to each child and those accompanying them. I'll be in touch nearer the dates with more details.

In these times your assistance and participation in the preparation of your child to celebrate this sacrament is paramount to your child's growing in faith and understanding of the importance of the sacraments in our lives.

I hopefully, these dates/times will not change but they are subject to any future restrictions/guidelines we may have to follow. I look forward to these celebrations as I am sure you and your child are too and I will assist you as much as I can.

With every blessing

Fr. Melvyn
