The school takes part in the Fingal Athletics league race series. This is for 3rd to 6th class and allows children to take part in distances ranging from 300m to 600m.
The school also takes part in the Marathonkids programme run by Fingal County Council. This runs for eight weeks and sees the children cover the full marathon distance over that time.
The school has close ties to the Man O'War GFC and their Games Promotion Officer, Siobhan O'Connor is a regular visitor to the school. She coaches the classes from Junior Infants-6th during the course of the school year.
The school fields three football teams in the Fingal League, Junior & Senior Boys and Junior Girls. The children get great fun from participating and every so often we have been lucky enough to make it to the finals in Parnell Park.
The school has very close ties with The Hills Cricket Club. We enjoy coaching from the club from the spring term through to summer term. We take part in fun soft-ball blitzes organised by Cricket Leinster from 4th class upwards.
The school also fields two cricket teams in the Leprechaun Cup competitions for boys and girls. These are played with a hard ball and are 20 over games.
The children in the school receive coaching from Leinster Rugby's Community Officer Andy Carabini. This takes place largely with the senior classes. We participate in a local tag rugby blitz as part of this program. The aim is to introduce children to the game in a fun way.
The school has a long standing involvement with An Taisce's 'Green Schools Programme'. The Green Schools Committee is made up of the 6th class pupils. The school is currently working towards its seventh Green Flag on the theme of 'Global Citizenship -Energy'.
