GREEN SCHOOLS
The Green School Committee is a student group dedicated to increasing students’ and participant awareness of environmental issues through classroom studies and to transfer this knowledge into positive environmental action in the school and also in the wider community.
Members for 2011/2012 are the current students of 6th Class. Please email any suggestions to greenschool@scoilmoibhi.ie
In the school groups there is a facility to recycle cans, the Green School Committte encourage all to avail of it
We now have two new battery recycling bins, located in the porch's of Ms Smith and Mr Tyndall's classrooms. Each pupil has been given a small box to put their used batteries in, when the box is full simply bring it in and empty it into the recycling bin. Please make sure the batteries are fully used !!
Green School's Action Day
The Green School's Committee held an Action Day on Friday 21st October 2011. Pupils and parents walked, cycled, carpooled and parked 'n' strode. Thank you to all who took part, your particpation helps our school achieve our 4th Green Flag.
